The work Clear as Mud was created on invitation for the group exhibition Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad at Nieuw Dakota. In Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad, animals — a duck, a donkey, two lobsters, several worms and a pig — are the artists. An animal whisperer gave them a voice, and human assistants brought their concepts to life. Hammie the Pig chose me to be their assistent, creating a rooting and thorough videowerk based on a day in the life of Hammie. The exhibition was created in the good company of other assistents Job Wouters, Frank Koolen, Marit Westerhuis, Yair Callender. With thanks to Ellis Kat and Layla van Steen.
